If you put your child to bed every night with a story, it won’t be too long before your son or daughter wants to read with you before falling asleep. They may not able to read complete words or sentences for a few years, but at age two or three, their cognitive skills are expanding quickly, and their grasp of letters and sounds is getting better as well. At Imagine Nation Learning Center in Union, our preschool daycare programs are designed to encourage your child’s love of reading.
In our Brighter Stars classroom for three-year-olds, we explore literature through several methods. We want children to understand words, what they mean, and how they are used, as well as improve their vocabulary through reading and social activities. By building with letter blocks, identifying words by sight, and singing songs with key words in them, the children will soon learn to recognize individual words and incorporate them into their vocabulary and social interactions, and classmates will begin to bond over their common progress and growth.
Our preschool daycare in Union has one goal – to provide a safe and encouraging environment where children can learn and play. Our staff takes the time to interact with each child one-on-one, as well as encouraging them to interact with each other, working on their words and improving their reading skills. If you’re looking for a new daycare, or you have a child that’s nearing preschool age, please take the time to contact us today. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
